DWS takes over the BT Tower for a Supercharged day in the sky

On Thursday 2nd March, the DWS teams descended on the BT Tower for an exciting event to highlight our evolving IP voice portfolio.Working with BT Wholesale, we staged this event to give our partners the opportunity to learn how they can supercharge their HV.Select business with our new proposition and learn all about our NEW product, Teams Direct Connect.

Partners also had the opportunity to engage with the likes of Mondago and Tollring to see how they can get more out of HV.Select with their brilliant applications, while getting some valuable face time with our product experts and sales teams, not to mention our CEO, Terry O’Brien.

The day kicked off with a welcome from our very own Tez, followed by some valuable insight into the Great Switch Off and All-IP Future from BT’s Gavin Jones and Steve Blackshaw, and an open Q&A session, enabling partners to get answers to all their burning questions from the industry specialists.

Next, we moved on to a though-provoking panel session hosted by our Head of Voice Portfolio, Claire Makin, where she posed some interesting questions to our panellists; Samantha Sale, DWS UC&C Product Manager; Nick Swinson, DWS Account Director; Andrew Small, Managing Director of Global Portfolio for BT Wholesale; and Michael Thornton, Managing Director at KSM Telecom.

The subject was Navigating the Future UCaaS Market Opportunity which incited some stimulating conversations about what customers need most from a UC solution, the role that Microsoft Teams plays and the key industries that present opportunity to Channel partners.

After a break for lunch and the opportunity to take part on some portal and application demonstrations, we reconvened for the launch of Teams Direct Connect, our new Teams voice solution available with HV.Select SIP. Product Manager Rachel Moore braved a live demo, showing partners exactly what they can expect from the product with partners blown away by the simplicity and ease of use.

This was followed by a presentation by Samantha Sale on HV.Select Supercharged, our new proposition designed to enhance and differentiate the HVS offering to our partners in an ever-changing market and supplying our partners and their customers with a more commercially compelling and feature rich solution than ever before.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. Claire Makin returned to the stage for our Supercharged Race to the Top quiz where two partners competed to win tickets to an England football match by answering questions about our new proposition and climbing the virtual tower to reach the top first.

To finish the day, we all headed up the tower for some drinks while enjoying the breath-taking 360 views of London.
