After a challenging year for everyone, and many in-person events being cancelled, postponed or taken online, Channel Champions was the first big event for our industry. Formerly known as the Comms Dealer Sales & Marketing Awards, Channel Champions was rebranded and relaunched to recognise the wider teams in Channel businesses who don’t often get the credit they deserve.
At DWS, we understand the importance of these awards and the huge morale boost our people feel when we are shortlisted or, if we’re lucky, win! This year, we were finalists in four Service Provider categories; Sales & Account Management Team, Marketing Team, Technical Support & Engineering Team and People & Culture Team.
We’re pleased to share with the team, and our partners, that we were the winners of two of these awards and highly commended in a third category.
“The award for Sales & Account Management Team means so much after such a difficult year and the accolade is a great way to thank them their hard work and dedication in providing outstanding service to our partners,” said Sales Director, Garry Growns.
We also won the award for People & Culture Team, which is a testament to our people team who have working so hard over the past year to keep the DWS culture alive, despite the challenges of working remotely.
Finally, we were highly commended in the Marketing Team category. “We had a lot of great competition so to be highly commended in this group is an honour,” said Head of Marketing, Daniel Coughlan.
But it’s not just about us, we’re also delighted to share the spotlight with the rest of the DWS family, including Union Street, who won the award for Vendor Distributor Sales and Account Management Team of the year!
