Demonstrating our products and portals across six stations, our product specialists were on hand to talk to visitors about our full portfolio and answer any burning questions about the latest industry trends. Claire Makin, Voice Product Manager, and James Montague, our Head of Connectivity, offered 1-2-1 meetings with partners to discuss the PSTN and ISDN withdrawal and provide guidance on the opportunities it presents while our sales teams were also there to catch up with our partners and discuss our portfolio with visitors.
Alongside our product demos, we also had an interactive 5G experience wall, in partnership with Samsung, where attendees could strap on a headset and experience virtual reality, plus a range of Samsung devices, including the new Galaxy S10, for visitors to get their hands on, trying out the device in the 5G enabled area around the NEC.
But it wasn’t just about our existing portfolio. We introduced our two new Cloud-based security products:
Guardian Web is an all-inclusive, enterprise-grade web security solution for businesses of any size. Using DNS-based or web proxy technology, it offers real-time protection and thorough enforcement of web usage policies.
Guardian Email is designed to secure inbound email using unique, layered protection. A highly reliable, scalable and feature-rich product, it protects users from malware, phishing and ransomware attacks, and also detects more sophisticated threats, to ensure your customers’ businesses remain secure.
Channel Live also gave us the opportunity to debut our One and Only Webstore. A simple, Amazon-like website designed specifically for the Channel, the Webstore enables partners to purchase hardware from market-leading manufacturers, at competitive prices, available on a subscription finance basis. With a huge catalogue of products from brands including Apple, Samsung, HP and Mitel, the Webstore proved popular at the exhibition as many Channel partners look to move into Tech-as-a-Service.
Last, but certainly not least, we also launched our new billing solutions at Channel Live, in partnership with Aurora. Affinity Lite is an entry-point option for smaller resellers, providing simple customer management and tariff plans, enabling partners to provision and bill a wide range of telecoms and data products from an easy-to-use platform.
Affinity Enterprise is the feature-rich version, aimed at experienced resellers who are ready to take more control of billing operations. As part of a powerful cloud partner eco-system, Affinity Billing Enterprise includes a suite of comprehensive management reports allowing partners to report on how their business is doing, anytime, anywhere.
These three new products were all really well received at the exhibition, with many Channel partners keen to get involved. If you would like to learn more about these products, please get in touch with a member of our team today.
In addition to our demonstrations and product launches, we also had a presence in the seminar theatres with our Head of Cloud Portfolio, Gareth Long taking part in a panel about Microsoft Teams on day one, while CEO Terry O’Brien shared his wisdom on building a £100m reseller business on the second day.
For Digital Wholesale Solutions, Channel Live is not just about sales and products, it’s about building relationships with our partners and cultivating new ones. On the evening of day one, we hired out The Atrium pub in the NEC for an exclusive networking event. With hundreds of Channel Live attendees dropping by, it was a fantastic opportunity for our teams to get to know our Channel peers and have a drink on us!
Overall, Channel Live was a huge success for us and we hope that anyone who dropped by our stand over the two days, attended a seminar with our representatives or joined us for a drink and bite to eat in the evening, enjoyed it as much as we did. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
